**Re-posting this card I made last year. Enjoy :)

Frankenstein!!! Tutorial
Quick & Easy to Create!

I used a black Recollections card, sprayed some red shimmer over the front of the card
to give it that gold-shimmery effect.

I used my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder to cut out this shape.
1 in green and 1 in purple.

I then drew scribbles to create his hair. You can make it as funky and crazy as you'd like!
There is no going wrong with this so it makes it really kid friendly to make! (and easy!!)

Make sure to erase your pencil lines...
I suggest you place it over top of the green paper to check if you like
the length of the hair before gluing anything down.

I then used Tim Holtz distress ink called Black Sout to distress all the edges.
I find the more I added the better it looked.. So have fun with it, add a little or add alot.

I then prepared all the pieces I would need and distressed all their edges as well.

I used the following:
1 1/2 Circle Punch - Cut out 1 green circle & cut it in half. (make the eyelids)
1 1/2 Circle Punch - Cut out 1 green circle, cut it in half.. Only use one 1/2. (make the nose)
1 1/2 Circle Punch - Cut out 2 white circles (makes eyeballs)
To make the black inside the eyes I used the same size circle punch on black paper and free hand cut them smaller. I purposely did not want the circles perfect, this is why they look odd haha! If you have a 1" circle punch you can use it (I don't own one).. so I improvised :P
Note: I did not end up using the 2 small white circles.. I was originally going to use them for the center of the eyes, instead I opted for White Gel and made the eyes scribbles instead of perfect circles.. Made this guy a little more rugged haha!

Have fun with the hair!! You can either glue the eyes underneath the hair spikes entirely or choose to have some spikes over the eyes and some behind.. Play around with them before gluing down!!

For the nose, you can choose to use a 2" circle punch instead of a 1 1/2, I think in this case having a bigger nose would work better haha.. I unfortunately did not have one.. so I just decided to make everything with my smaller circle punch. Play around with sized and make it your own!

I then used a thin Shapie Pen and drew his mouth onto the green paper.
I also thought this guy needed a little more distress ink around the edges to make him a little scarier and more rugged! I added the White Gel to the center of his eyes and Voila!

I played around with my Halloween stack of paper to see what kind of background I should add him to... I ended up creating my own background using my red-gold shimmer spray and sprayed a black card base. Turned out great!!!

I plan on making a few more of these with different colours and sizes so stay tuned!
I would also love to see your creations if you attempted to make this little guy.

Happy Crafting!

Thank You Card using Silhouette Cameo

I made this card back in July when my mom came down to visit. She needed a thank you card for a friend at witch she had stayed over a couple nights and wanted to thank her for her hospitality.  I decided to use my Silhouette Cameo to show her how it's done and I was pleasantly surprised at how quick this card was to put together. The longest part was choosing the colour cardstock haha.

Sorry about the background in my pictures. I had bad lighting and my table was covered in different half started projects so I was very limited in space to take pictures that were under the light :P

3D Chicago Peace Tea Rose - CAMEO Silhouette

I purchased this 3D Chicago Peace Tea Rose design in my Silhouette Cameo online store.
I took a quick picture of the descriptive information below off of the webstore for anyone who is interested in creating this / purchasing it for themselves.

I used double sided paper for this flower.

I played around with the edges trying to figure out how they ended up with their final product according to that little orange flower at the top. I don't think I did too bad here :P I had to improvised a little after a few trials and errors I decided to just crimple up all the edges and see what I get.

Ikea Kitchen Cart (aka crafting cart)

Check out what I found at IKEA!!!

I keep seeing so many ladies on instagram posting pictures of how they organize their new caddy and I finally got to venture in an Ikea and found them! Only problem is I don't really feel like spending $69.99 on it then have to buy all the cute dividers and baskets and accessories to go with it. I've seen some pretty awesome pictures of women who turned theses into the ideal storage room for your everyday craft tools but I have soooo much stuff that I'd need way more then one and I already don't have much extra room for more storage. Maybe in the future.. still really happy I got to finally see them for myself. They are really sturdy and neat looking!! If your looking for storage ideas look up on Pinterest and Instagram cause there are sooo many cool ideas and I do highly recommend this storage to anyone who can afford it! :P Awesome colors, sturdy and fun looking. You can hang some of the kitchen baskets to the sides to store your copics, pens and so on and the sides you can use them as magnets to stick down the magnet metal circle containers that Ikea sells to put spices in and it sticks to ur fridge. They are really handy to put your crafting buttons, small tools in. I'll try and find some pictures off pinterest and post them on here for you all to see. Def worth it :)

Now I'm really reconsidering it.. might have to budget a little for this one.. hum.. ;)

New Baby "It's a Boy" Card

I made this card last November and completely forgot to post it! I made it at my mother in law's place. She had a really good template to create this card. I will try to make a new one soon with the step by step. I made this card completely from scratch and it turned out great for my first time! :-)

When I was done creating the card, I sprayed the entire card with Shimmer. :)
It looks really neat in person.

In the bottom circle I was going to put a picture of an ultrasound picture.

This is the back of the card.

"Baby Dust" Shaker Jar - For a fellow TTC friend

Plain VS Distressed edges

What it takes to create this Shaker Jar
1 jar
1 lid
8 ovals (same shape as the center of your jar)
1 Oval white cardstock
1 Oval Clear window sheet
1 ribbon/twine for decoration (not in pic/optional)
Glue (any kind works)

Now you have to layer and glue the  ovals together.
This is what created the area to put your shaker items in.
Make sure you glue them together very well so that nothing comes out.

This is what it looks like when all  ovals are glued together.

Glue the background oval. I added some ink splatter (stamp) to the back, you can always add a fun sentiment that goes with the theme of your shaker jar.

This is what I used to full up my shaker jar.. lots of little stars, sparkles and glitter!

Fill it up as much or as little as you want.

Glue the clear window sheet on top and make sure to glue it really well so that it seals all the glitter and stuff inside.

Then glue the shaker to the cardstock jar...

close up view of the awesome glitter haha
Note I really like embossing all the edges of the jar because this really draws the eyes to the center of the jar.. I find anyways :)

And finally I added some gold accent twine to the lid area to give it that extra touch.
You could always add a ribbon or a bow (I really suck at making bows so I settled for what's in the pic haha) For the purpose of this jar I left it as is but you could always add more accents to the jar like flowers at the bottom, a sentiment across the middle or bottom or even the lid.. possibilities are endless so play around and have fun!

Hope you enjoyed it :) and create one of your own.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the shapes but you could always use any tools laying around the house to create this as well. All you need is imagination and you can create anything so have fun with it guys!! :-)
