Plain VS Distressed edges
What it takes to create this Shaker Jar
1 jar
1 lid
8 ovals (same shape as the center of your jar)
1 Oval white cardstock
1 Oval Clear window sheet
1 ribbon/twine for decoration (not in pic/optional)
Glue (any kind works)
Now you have to layer and glue the ovals together.
This is what created the area to put your shaker items in.
Make sure you glue them together very well so that nothing comes out.
This is what it looks like when all ovals are glued together.
Glue the background oval. I added some ink splatter (stamp) to the back, you can always add a fun sentiment that goes with the theme of your shaker jar.
This is what I used to full up my shaker jar.. lots of little stars, sparkles and glitter!
Fill it up as much or as little as you want.
Glue the clear window sheet on top and make sure to glue it really well so that it seals all the glitter and stuff inside.
Then glue the shaker to the cardstock jar...
close up view of the awesome glitter haha
Note I really like embossing all the edges of the jar because this really draws the eyes to the center of the jar.. I find anyways :)
And finally I added some gold accent twine to the lid area to give it that extra touch.
You could always add a ribbon or a bow (I really suck at making bows so I settled for what's in the pic haha) For the purpose of this jar I left it as is but you could always add more accents to the jar like flowers at the bottom, a sentiment across the middle or bottom or even the lid.. possibilities are endless so play around and have fun!
Hope you enjoyed it :) and create one of your own.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the shapes but you could always use any tools laying around the house to create this as well. All you need is imagination and you can create anything so have fun with it guys!! :-)
