Christmas Card using Stampin' Up White Christmas stamp set

Check out how I create this fun Christmas Card!

I used the Stampin' Up "White Christmas" stamp set
paired with Stampin' Up "Basic Black" ink.

These are the cardstock layers I used to create the square card.
Square card base = 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
blue cardstock base = 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
white cardstock = 5" x 5"

This is what the layers will look like. You can always add dimensionals between the top and middle layer to give it some height.

I really like this clear stamp set! Makes it alot easier to see exactly where you are placing your image.

The cardstock on the left is Stampin' Up basic black ink, the one on the right was Archival black Ink. (my Archival ink is starting to run out but the light black gives it a softer look). I like to always test out different inks and tools I have laying around.

This stamp set is really great for layering the images and creating different scenes from Christmas to a simple Winter holiday card. I choose to create the same layout 3 times and changed up the background colours, wanted to see which coloured cardstock complimented this layout the best before I mass produced them for my Christmas card :)

These are the cards before I coloured them.

I used my Copic markers to colour the images in but you can use any type of colouring tools (pencil crayons, watercolour, wax crayons and so on). I just used whatever I had near me at the time haha.

I then added some glue and Stampin' Up "dazzling diamond" sparkles for the final touch.
I put alot of sparkles all over the trees to make it look like snow, I added some on each snowflake and on the snowman.

Below is a closer look at each card. :)

Which colour do you like best?!!!!!

Hey!!

Hello everyone!!

A quick message to say I am sorry for being MIA lately. I've been going threw a couple life changing events and have not been able to craft, take pictures, blog and post anything in a long while. Things have calmed down a bit and I am ready to jump back into blogging my creations! I never stopped crafting, just never had time to take pictures, make tutorials and then blog. With Halloween over and Christmas around the corner I'm back at blogging and will be posting some fun new Christmas card creations. Stay tuned and thanks for sticking by!!

Lotsa love,
Nadine

Gate Fold Card - Tutorial

Gate Fold Card
TUTORIAL

Here are two samples of gate fold cards I made last winter.
These kinds of cards are really fun to decorate and add a wow factor to a simple card.
The digi images I used in the center of each card is from Saturated Canary.

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL
Cut your 8 1/2" X 11" of cardstock paper into 5 1/2"X 11"

Now using your score board, score at 3 3/4" and at 7 1/4".

Now flip your paper upside down and score at 2" and 9".

Now score along the lines of the 2 center lines.

Flip over and score the 2 remaining outside lines. Those will become your gate folds!

This is what your cardstock will look like once it's all folded.

Here are my samples again of the gate fold cards I made last year.
